More news on little chick

Little chick has been in our house for five nights and five days now, and seems to be doing pretty well.

I still think that he or she should be eating more, but I’ve found some foods that seem to appeal to little chick’s palate: chopped rolled oats and bologna worms. What’s a bologna worm? Well, you buy a package of bologna, take out a piece and slice it into tiny strips. Then you jiggle the strip in front of the chick’s beak to simulate worminess.

The most notable thing about little chick’s state, though, is that its little lungs are JUST FINE. I tell you, if you’re looking for a pet with maximum volume in a minimum size, with a relentless desire to express its constant dissatisfaction about not being able to sit on your shoulder and chew your hair, get a baby chicken.

Awww (again)! I’m so glad that you are keeping him/her. It’s so cute that you are making bologna worms for it 🙂
