Yellow-green smoothie

This is what I’ve been having for breakfast lately if I’m not in the mood for oatmeal. Usually, this is on couch-to-5K mornings: the sweating and panting and fresh air kills my appetite. John saw it this morning and said, “Ooh! Smoothie!” And I said, “It’s great. It has pineapple and celery. Try it!” Which he did, and said, “Very creative.” John is such a sweetheart, he’s incapable of saying anything disparaging, even about a smoothie that’s a little weird and not for everybody.

Ingredients:
1/2 cup fresh pineapple chunks
1/2 cup celery chunks
1/2 cup cucumber chunks
1/2 banana
3 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp honey
1/4 cup water
a few ice cubes

Method:
Combine all ingredients in a blender. You might need to add a little more lemon juice or water to convince your blender to do its job.
